Where are you from?

Born in Lafayette, IN. Moved to Fort Wayne when I was 8, so I consider Fort Wayne my hometown.

How did you hear about roller derby?

I saw an article in the newspaper, and my sister, Goldmember, was a member of the league.

What was it about roller derby that interested you?

I was about to turn 30 and wanted to do something that I never would have dared to in the past. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself. I also loved the idea of "for the skaters, by the skaters" and all the charities we help.

What is your "real life" occupation?

I am a Senior Account Manager for Certified Ad Placements, Inc. (CAPS). I help businesses with their yellow page marketing program.

What is your worst derby-related injury to date?

During the Derby Deeds bout in August, I sacraficed myself to take out Team Evil's jammer and ended up smacking the ground hard and landing on my arm. It immediately swelled up and turned the weirdest colors. I have been pretty lucky; just your normal bruises and floor burn.

How did you come up with your skate name?

I was conceived after my parents had to leave their local watering hole due to last call, so the nickname always stuck. My number is the time that last call was announced 2:45 am.

What do you like best about derby?

I love what we do locally for charities and that we are providing some alternate family entertainment for the community. I love that we are a group of women who have come together to form a league and make it successful from the ground up.
