Bio:

What better place to begin the legend of PushyCat than in her ancient land where cats were worshiped as gods? She was born in a temple built on the sides of Mount Lugh in Burma.  Her father, Anubis, was the jackal-headed god of funerary rituals and was the protector of the dead, the judge of souls, and the ruler of the underworld.  Her mother, Isis, was the supreme goddess and arguably the greatest of all Egyptian deities; a supreme figure of womanhood.  It was through this short tryst that the legend came to be.
Pushy is the goddess of pain and punishment and epitomizes all the mysteries of divinity. She is a magnificent huntress and is ruthlessly efficient in slaughtering her prey. After traveling the world in search of something more, Pushy was found alone in a tree gazing at the moon. The mysterious Minx noticed that there was something wonderfully charming yet deliciously deadly about PushyCat. Consequently Minx recruited her for the Fort Wayne Derby Girls and now she can be found lapping up the blood of her opponents on the derby track. Her steady cat-like gaze is both hypnotizing and terrifying --be sure she doesn't cross your path!

Derby Questionnaire:

Where are you from?

Originally from here~ Fort Wiggity, IN

How did you hear about roller derby?

Minx and Josiefied were in my bar on a cold night in December 2005. I was working and as I walked by, they grabbed me and said, "Hey, you're cute! Can you skate?" Little did I know what I was in for!

What was it about roller derby that interested you?

It was a challenge.

What is your "real life" occupation?

I am an Office Manager at a family-owned commercial property maintenance company. So when you see people laying asphalt, plowing snow, landscaping or street sweeping... that could be us! I am also a student going for a dual associate's degree in Business Management and Marketing. Plus, I waitress at a bar on the weekends.

What is your worst derby-related injury to date?

In Apocalypse POW when Refutable blasted me in my shin. Ouch!

Please list a crazy unknown fact about yourself.

I am a germ-a-phobe. I won't eat the part of the hotdog (or whatever) that someone touched. I won't open doors with my bare hands... and you'll NEVER catch me playing with a child! Filthy Little Creatures!

How did you come up with your skate name?

After many failed attempts at a name, I just came across Pussycat and decided to look up "Pushy" Cat on the master roster. I figured it would already be taken, but to my surprise, it wasn't!

What do you like best about derby?

The MONEY!!! I make fat cash! Ha- I wish!

I would say the sisterhood. I can go to any state in the country and know immediately that I can find a derby girl and she will take me under her wing. Automatic friends!

Educational background:

Heritage High School and Ivy Tech College.

On which FWDG committees do you serve?

Track set up and tear down, of course! The coolest committee we have!

What is your favorite FWDG memory?

My favorite is the kids who come over looking for autographs after the bouts! I love seeing how excited they are and hearing how much fun they had.
